In a foreign country, with no phone...

"One Room Sleep One Night: The sold-out NYC hit from award-winning actor Grant Lancaster comes to Fringe! Follow Grant on an outrageous journey home from the mountains of Thailand, all while handling an undiagnosed neurological virus. Alone, phoneless, and on a motorcycle with four of his five senses slowly shut down, he investigates the questions: what does it take to survive, when does suffering begin, and how much can our sense of humor withstand? Zany, bizarre, yet deeply poignant, experience the powerful resilience of comedy in this true story about solitude, karaoke and just.. getting.. home. “

Strap in as Actor/Comedian Grant Lancaster takes us on an unbelievable, weeklong race against time from the outer reaches of Northern Thailand  as his body fights to keep a sudden paralysis at bay. Through a mix of stand-up, stories and scenes- ONE ROOM SLEEP ONE NIGHT investigates the questions: what does it take to survive, when does suffering begin, and how much will our sense of humor withstand? At its essence, it's purpose is to inspire and empower others into a new avenue of approaching pain, discomfort and hardship.

A true story down to each detail, ONE ROOM SLEEP ONE NIGHT is a bizarre, poignant examination of the human psyche and the lengths we will go to survive, to keep moving forward despite unbelievable obstacles, and rely on humor as the light that will guide us to safety again. Hilarious and heart-wrenching, audiences have said this show has stayed with them, evoking laughter, quiet moments of introspection and even tears.
